We want fair access to Al Jazeera English

Thanks to Canadians' enthusiastic efforts, Al Jazeera English(AJE) has begun operations in Canada. Viewers in this country now have access to independent public journalism on TV. Three major distributors carry Al Jazeera English and next month we will see the opening in Toronto of a Canadian bureau with even more journalists to keep the powerful in check. This is a win for quality journalism and media diversity. Thanks for helping make it happen!

Order AJE from one of the three distributors currently carrying the new channel: Bell TV (channel 516) 1-888-759-3474; Rogers (channel 176) 1-888-764-3771; Videotron (channel 173) 1-888-433-6876. Tell Shaw (1-888-472-2222) and Telus (604-310-6988) that you want them to distribute AJE.


But work remains. Several of the carriers are short shifting AJE by making customers pay extra for the channel, and some aren't making it available at all.
