Improve Access to Al Jazeera English

Thanks to Canadians' enthusiastic efforts, Al Jazeera English (AJE) has begun operations in Canada. Viewers in this country now have access to independent public journalism on TV. Three major distributors carry Al Jazeera English and next we will soon see the opening of a Canadian bureau with journalists keeping the powerful in check. This is a win for quality journalism and media diversity.

But work remains. Several of the carriers are short shifting AJE by making customers pay extra for the channel, and some are not making it available at all.

We need to ensure that AJE is easily accessible to all Canadians. Please make access to AJE a reality by sending a letter to Canadian TV distributors.
